Ospreys have moved to solve their second-row injury crisis after snapping up James Goode. The former Cardiff Blues lock has joined the region on trial following a spell in New Zealand with Manawatu Turbos. Ospreys have suffered a string of injuries to their second-row in recent weeks with Andy Lloyd, Conor McInerney, Lyndon Bateman, Ian Evans and Richard Kelly joining Wales international trio Alun Wyn Jones, Jonathan Thomas and Ryan Jones on the sidelines. "I'm pleased that the Ospreys have given me an opportunity to prove myself here," said Goode. "Now I've got to do what I can to convince them to make it a longer-term thing. Coach Sean Holley added: "With the number of international calls and injuries we felt that we need some cover." |
