Irish prop forward Paul Doran-Jones has joined Gloucester on a two-year contract from London Welsh. The 24-year-old has been drafted in following Carlos Nieto's exit from Kingsholm, having also played for Leinster and Wasps during his career. Head coach Dean Ryan told the club's official website: "Paul's had a very good grounding in National League Division One and more than held his own against some very good front rows. "We think he's one for the future and can develop into a very good Premiership player." Doran-Jones himself added: "I did have other options, but I met up with Dean Ryan and what he had to say about developing me as a player really struck a chord. "There's so much pride and tradition there, but also so much potential. I really wanted to be a part of that." |
