Celtic manager Tony Mowbray was a relieved man after watching his side see off St Mirren 3-1 to return to the summit of the SPL. The Bhoys took over at the top of the table as Rangers lost 1-0 at Aberdeen, having won just twice in their previous nine games in all competitions. Mowbray told the Glasgow Evening Times: "I never like to talk about must-win games, but Saturday was really about getting the points and I'd like to think we did that reasonably comfortably. "St Mirren worked very hard, of course, but I think we deserved the victory. The performance level was okay. "There was a concern the players would be under a lot of pressure early on from anxiety. Yet I thought the supporters stuck with the team right from the start and together we got the result." |
