Plymouth Argyle have been handed a boost after Jim Paterson's hamstring injury picked up in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Leicester City proved to be not as bad as first feared. The utility man was withdrawn in the second-half at Walkers Stadium and it was thought the 30-year-old would be missing for some time. However, manager Paul Sturrock has admitted he could be available for the weekend clash at Home Park against Barnsley. Speaking to The Herald, he said: "Jim's injury isn't as bad as we thought. "It tightened up dramatically and he could tell it was going to pull any second. It was one of those ones. "He has probably got it just in time, although I would imagine there will be some torn fibres in there." |
