AS Roma goalkeeper Doni is determined to fight to win back his starting place at the Stadio Olimpico. The 30-year-old Brazil international has lost his first-team place to compatriot Julio Sergio following Claudio Ranieri's arrival as coach in September. But despite his lack of game time, Doni is not seeking a move away from the Giallorossi. "Doni is a serious player. The coach has made certain choices and they must be respected," said agent Ovidio Colucci. "The coach has chosen Julio Sergio as the starter. Doni is calm and will try in every way to become the first-choice goalkeeper again. He is aware this is possible with only full commitment. "He repeated to me yesterday that he does not intend to leave and his
priority is Roma. He has a contract and intends to honour it until the end (in 2012)." |
