West Brom boss Roberto di Matteo has handed a trial to the Vancouver Whitecaps striker Marcus Haber.

The 20-year-old will aim to impress the Baggies manager during his four-day spell at The Hawthorns this week.

Haber scored eight goals for the Whitecaps in their United Soccer Leagues First Division campaign, a feat which earned him several accolades including the USL-1 Rookie of the Year and the Whitecaps' Newcomer of the Year awards.

Earlier in his career, Haber spent two seasons with the Dutch Eredivisie club FC Groningen and has also represented Canada at Under-17 and Under-20 levels.
