Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid has completed his loan move to Championship side Queens Park Rangers. Reid, 28, will spend a month on loan at Loftus Road as he looks to continue his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury. The Republic of Ireland international endured surgery almost 15 months ago and has featured in only three games since - Rovers' three Carling Cup games this season. Reid will spend a month on loan in the Championship as he attempts to persuade Rovers boss Allardyce that he deserves a new Ewood Park contract. "This is a significant loan signing for the football club," R's manager Jim Magilton told his club's official website. "The fact we've been able to attract a player of Steven's calibre to the club speaks volumes of the board and the direction in which the club is heading. "He's a class act. He can pass, he can tackle, he can shoot, he's box-to-box - he's a very, very good player." |
