Former captain Michael Vaughan will return to Yorkshire next season in an advisory capacity. The ex-England skipped retired from cricket in June 2009 after a lengthy battle with injury but will return to Headingley in the upcoming season as a mentor to new Tykes captain Andrew Gale. "I'm keen to utilise his extensive experience to help us to develop our exciting young talent," explained the county's director of cricket Martyn Moxon. Vaughan scored over 16,000 first-class runs during a lengthy career with the White Rose County. The now 35-year-old batsman also scored 5,719 runs during 82 tests for England. |
